1 year on ClickASnap leaves Beta

ClickASnap came into being on the 29th February 2016, and was launched officially to the public on the 7th May 2016 as a public beta product. Uptake of the platfom has been signficiant since then. It has been a long hard slug of a year with many ups and downs, our ecommerce was late and over budget, Christmas was a disaster because getting anything completed during the holidays was virtually impossible, and we did lose some of our users due to this. However, 6 months on and we believe the platform is solid, useable across the globe and feature rich, so, we decided that it was time to remove the ‘beta’ signs and move to a fully fledged public product.

What does this mean for you?

Leaving beta basically means that the platform layout is not going to change much for the forseeable future. It is likely bugs will still crop up now and then and these will be corrected, and sometimes these may mean slight layout changes. But, the platform, as you see it now, is likely to stay the same. Our resources will now be spent on marketing and bolstering the paid accounts with many more features, including the following:

  1. Galleries: These will have the options of password protected, free to enter or paid to enter. They will also contain their own devoted marketplace and no advertising so users will be able to upload what they wish into them (providing it is not illegal content)
  2. Feature rich embeds providing ability to sell products directly through the embed
  3. Much higher definition images
  4. Multi vendor products, for example we will bring in several suppliers for products across the world with varying price ranges allowing you to pick and choose where our products are made and how much the base price costs.

These are just some of the upgrades we will be making. Of course we are always open to new ideas and new suggestions, and my door is always metaphorically open to our user bases ideas.

As an aside, ClickASnap now regularly boasts over 3,000 users per day viewing some 20,000 images per day and we hope you continue to enjoy earning money for your photos!
