Brand new and Enhanced Image Upload Experience
We are excited to introduce several enhancements to our upload journey, all designed to streamline the process and improve your browsing and upload experience. Below we detail the latest updates, which includes new features and some behind-the-scenes improvements.
What’s new?
Grouped uploads in your feed
Multiple uploads will now be grouped together in your feed, to both ensure your feed does not get overwhelmed with large uploads, whilst still allowing you and your followers to see all the images you’ve shared!
Add an album whilst uploading
The ability to add a new album whilst uploading images, streamlining the organisation of your images all in one place!
Tag limits
We’ve added a tag limit to ensure images are categorised as accurately as possible, to improve your search results. This will also help prevent the abuse of mis-tagging images, meaning your photos will show up in relevant searches far easier.
Import your tags
Descriptions and tags are now imported from Lightroom and other similar editing software at the point of upload.
Alt Descriptions
We now offer the ability to add alt descriptions for each image. This allows you to add descriptive alt text, making images accessible to all of our members, including those who are blind or visually impaired.
Search Score
To help your visibility across the site, we’ve also added a ‘Search Score’. The higher your score, the better visibility your images will have in relevant searches!
Image titles
Image titles are no longer auto imported and now require you to add an image title to each photo you’re uploading. This is to improve the quality of uploads and help improve search results when browsing the site.
Copy & Paste tags
You can now copy and past comma separated tags when you are uploading your photos.
Limited Uploads
We’ve limited uploads to 10 images at a time, to help stem the flow of large uploads, meaning your browsing experience will be far more enjoyable. No more wading through large uploads to get to the photos you love!
& various behind-the-scenes updates and improvements to enhance user experience.
Overall, the upload journey has a new look and feel and some brilliant additions and changes to improve not only your upload experience, but also the quality of the uploads you share!
We still have some exciting additions to come, with editing tools, the ability to save your upload as a draft and more!
