Tattoo gun recorded at 2,000 frames per second!

These days it seems the majority of people have tattoos, (although, believe it or not, it’s actually less than 50%). These are all types of designs and can be found all over the body. But, have you ever wondered exactly what goes on when you are being tattooed?

We visited a local tattoo parlour (Bear Stone Ink in Wimborne Dorset) with a black and white high speed camera capable of taking 136,000 images per second to film exactly what happens during a tattoo. If you’re squeamish and ond’t like needles we advise you don’t watch the video below!

Going on from our super slow motion video of a match ignition, this is a tattoo being filmed at 2,00o frames per second. Just watch how the skin reacts to the needle!
