Whilst the internet and digital photography has made taking pictures and showing your pictures to an audience a lot easier (and a lot cheaper) than it was 10 years ago, it has had detrimental effects similar to what the internet has had on the music industry. Whereas before the internet, and before camera phones and Digital single lens reflex cameras, a photo was always a physical product that was very difficult to steal and was therefore almost always unique, and consequently had a high value to it. Now, if you see a photo you like (typically on Meta) most will just right click download it and re-upload it, or print as they seem fit. This of course has devalued an image considerably. So outside of our paid per view photo hosting platform that is ClickAsnap, just how else can you make money with photography these days?
